Alibaba Announces Price and Release Date for its AI-Powered Quark Glasses

Alibaba has announced the release date and price for its AI-powered Quark glasses, which it introduced in July. The Quark glasses, which will compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses, will come with a ChatGPT-like AI.

Alibaba, which has recently produced notable work in the field of artificial intelligence, is now preparing to integrate these technologies with smart glasses. As a reminder, the company held an event in July to introduce its “AI glasses” called Quark. It was announced that the Quark, which looks like an ordinary pair of glasses, similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban models, will come equipped with artificial intelligence features.

Quark, Priced at $659, to Rival Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses The much-anticipated Quark models went on pre-sale in China today. The first deliveries are scheduled to be made in December. With the launch of pre-orders, the price of the smart glasses has also been revealed. The Quark is being sold in China for 4,699 yuan, which is approximately $659. However, with special launch discounts, this price drops to $559.

The Quark glasses will use a customized version of the company’s most advanced artificial intelligence model, Qwen3. With Qwen3, which has achieved results comparable to ChatGPT in performance tests, users will be able to communicate both in writing and by voice. The Quark models, which come with a built-in camera, will feature many AI-supported functions such as searching based on a directive, playing music, simultaneous translation, and summarizing conversations. Alibaba, which operates in many areas in China, from navigation to online ticket sales, is also expected to integrate these services into its smart glasses.

The rise of artificial intelligence has made such smart glasses much more attractive and promising. Companies like Meta and Apple view these AI-equipped glasses as devices that could replace smartphones soon. Therefore, Alibaba is very hopeful about its new product.
